Nicotinex.com is designed to support reading and navigation across desktop and mobile screens. The site uses semantic HTML, descriptive headings, visible keyboard focus, text alternatives for article images, and a consistent navigation structure.
Keyboard navigation
A skip link leads directly to the main content. Navigation links, article links, and expandable FAQ sections can be reached with the keyboard. On smaller screens, the menu uses a native disclosure control and can be closed with Escape when scripting is available.
Reading and layout
Long-form articles use a constrained reading width and a linked table of contents. The layout changes for smaller screens rather than requiring a desktop-sized viewport. Comparison tables can scroll horizontally within their own container. Heading links account for the sticky navigation header.
Motion and decorative elements
Decorative emoji are separated from meaningful text. Floating and hover effects are reduced when the browser requests reduced motion. Core content does not depend on animation. The article text, source references, and navigation remain available without client-side rendering.
Fonts and image alternatives
The design uses Archivo Black and DM Sans with system-font fallbacks. Article graphics include descriptive alternative text. Important conclusions also appear as ordinary page text; they are not available only inside an image.
Report an accessibility problem
Email [email protected] through the contact page and include the page address, the issue, and the browser or assistive technology involved when relevant. The site does not require a web form to report a problem. The HTML site map offers another route to the public pages.
